When it comes to sushi, Saigon Restaurant has it all - from nigriri and sashimi to "cruises" that can take your palate on a sushi voyage to remember. Becoming a professional sushi chef, or sushiya, takes 10 years of training. Only after that time is a chef deemed good enough to serve sushi to customers. Our sushiya (name) is not only good ... he's great!

 

 

Sushi actually is characterized by a slightly sweet, sticky rice, made with a sweet vinegar and rice combination, usually lined with seaweed or kelp, called nori, and then the ingredients are placed in the center and the rice and seaweed are wrapped around the ingredients into a cylindrical roll.
